WE ARE 5 MONTHS DTE!
YES, THAT MEANS WE HAVE
BEEN ON THE WAIT LIST FOR 5 MONTHS!
Remember me saying that our agency predicted our wait to be 4-6 months?
That means.........God willing...............THIS could be OUR MONTH!
We are hoping and PRAYING that God reveals the precious face(s) of our little one(s) within the month! {gasp of joy}
Now, please remain calm ~ and remind me to as well ~ as our agency cannot predict all that goes on in adoption. That being said, the SLOW DOWN in referrals that we have recently been witnessing, has not lead our agency to change the originally estimated 4-6 month waiting period. Yet.
Please pray with us that our referral ~ what its called when we are "introduced" to our children via "THE CALL" and email pics ~ falls within this predicted timeline! If we have learned anything, thus far, is that nothing is predictable in adoption!
Nonetheless, we continue to lift our child or children up to God, and excitedly await His plan! As our dear, sweet caseworker, Caitlin, recently reminded me,
"NOTHING can thwart God's plan!"
GO GOD!
We are #5 on the INFANT BOY list!
...And #9 on the SIBLING LIST!
We were asked if we would be open to adopting two UNrelated children, to which of course we promptly answered YES! So we have completed the paperwork for that scenerio as well!
Wow! Nothing like waiting for our "ultrasound" to not only let us know if we are having ONE or TWO babies; but also to let us know if it is a boy; boy/girl; or boy/boy!
EXCITEMENT IS IN THE AIR!
WE WAIT WITH EXPECTANCY but not with EXPECTATION!

Our DTE DATE NIGHT was interrupted by Daddy's work. He has been slammin' jammin' busy all Christmas week and this one too! (Good thing he loves his job! Poor souls that are getting hurt on the ski hill and needing surgery!)
What helps to keep him going, is knowing that next year it is HIS Christmas to NOT work ~ our FIRST Christmas together as a FOREVER FAMILY! Coincidence? WE DON'T THINK SO!
So, DTE DATE NIGHT turned out GREAT! Once Daddy came home from work (10 pm), we went to dinner at Bar deNay and had awesome "couple talk," which I hear is nearly non-existent with kiddos! {smile} We even had fun brainstorming what we thought the judge might ask us on our Court Date. Good date night and celebration!
