Mother's Day Follow Up

Mother’s Day

Well, for as much as I was dreading Mother’s Day this year, I have to say the anticipation of it was way worse than the actual day!  I think I got out all my pity parties and tears Friday and Saturday, and with encouragement of SO MANY of you, my friends ~ both new and old ~ and family, I was feeling pretty great about everything when I went to bed Saturday night.

I awoke Sunday morning to my sweet husband and our two doodles (yellow labs) in bed showering me with love and cuddles, wishing me a HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!  Jeff made me the most amazing breakfast with all the fixins, gave me pretty yellow lilies (that we used as our table centerpiece), and a precious Mother’s Day card.  Oh, and I cannot forget that, instead of making coffee, he went out and brought me back my FAV!…..Skinny Milkyway from Moxie Java!  YUMMY!!!!!

Let’s just say it was the perfect morning!  THANK YOU!  THANK YOU, BABEY!!!!!!

Off to church we went.  Only to be greeted by so many precious friends who greeted me with a Happy Mother’s Day, often before I could bless them with the same greeting!  They didn’t think twice!  I wonder if they know how they were validating our paper pregnancy ~ and demonstrating continued BELIEF that our little one(s) ARE on the way to us!  They hadn’t forgotten or given up on our story!  Kate and Kyle even gave us a precious sweet momma-to-be card.  LOVE you guys!  The emails and texts kept coming throughout the day………..SUCH a blessing to me!

Okay, so one more blessing that surrounded my Mother’s Day.  I cannot go without sharing it with you.  It was not only a precious gift from a dear friend, but I feel it was a visitation from God, in a sense!

Wow.  This gave me chills.  Not sure it will have the same effect on you, but have to share it nonetheless!

Within minutes of completing my post for Mother’s Day (Sunday’s post), I shut down my blog and quickly checked my email.  Only one email had been sent since I last was on my account.  The email was titled “Mother’s Day.”

My first response was “Oh, ugh.  I don’t think I want to read that right now.”  But then I glanced over to see who sent it and I realized it was my near and dear friend, Frank.  I promptly opened the email, only to read the most precious of emails!

Let me preface this with telling you that Frank started out as a patient of mine (I am a physical therapist) but he quickly became a sweet friend to me, even now when he no longer needs therapy.  He and his wife, Sandy have been SO EXCITED for us to bring home our little one(s), and their support, encouragement and prayers have been such a blessing to Jeff and me.  Their hearts are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!}

Well, after feeling like I had sort of  “talked” to our son or children via my blog post, I immediately read this email:

 Hello my friend, you have been on mind a lot.  I know tomorrow is going to be very hard for you, truly wish I could do something to make it better for you.  If your baby (babies) could send you a card this how it would read.     Dear Mommy, sorry our presence has not yet been revealed to you yet, we know what a wonderful Mommy you are, and how hard waiting must be for you.  We know you pray for us everyday and soon we will be with you.  Thank you for waiting for us, even though you do not know us yet, we know you.  Our love for you is making our wait easier, and know we feel you every day, your goodness, you kindness, your love is so warm and comforting, we can not wait for you to hold us, we love you so.  Your kids

Can you see how it felt like my child or children heard my words and were already writing back to me!?!?!?!?!?!  The kindness and thoughtfulness of his email was priceless and literally helped lift me out of the Mother’s Day humdrums, while also proving to me that God is NEAR!  God had heard the cry of my heart, and wanted me to know it!

Priceless.  Wow!  That’s all I can say.

Other than THANK YOU, Frank!......for following your heart and sending me such a precious Mother’s Day note…….and for letting God use you to speak directly to me!  I love you and Sandy!

Hoping all of you had a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration as well!  And that you felt God’s love and your family’s love in a special form this year.  And for those of you “still working on it,” know that your sweet desire to be a momma was planted there by our Heavenly Father, and he WILL fulfill the desires of your heart!

KEEP BELIEVING!!!!!
